The narrative has been divided into three parts. The book very much captures the details of the war that happened in 1967 on two Himalayan passes, Nathu-La and Cho-La at the China-Sikkim Border. It was the barbed wire planned to be implanted and the open fire happened. The meeting hut which exists now and where tourists are also allowed to visit with strict permissions and passes, was without any border line in the earlier years.

Reading the book “Watershed 1967: India’s Forgotten Victory over China” by Probal Dasgupta has brought the wetness to that ink. It is the feeling you have whenever a soldier gets martyred.
